This important ministry serves at mass by singing the appointed music of the mass, known as the "Propers" (Introit, Gradual Psalm, Alleluia Verse, etc) while also leading the congregation in the service music (Kyrie, Gloria, etc) and congregational hymns taken from best of the Catholic and Protestant hymn tradition.
Not only does this group practice and perform the music of the mass, but they also learn each week about the history of the Church's music and liturgy.This important ministry is open to any and all, male or female, with a desire to sing and a willingness to learn.
The Schola Cantorum rehearses on Wednesday nights at 7:00pm
